Banner is a rapidly growing company that offers many personal development opportunities, an excellent benefits package, and a collaborative team of employees who are passionate about what they do.What We're Looking ForBanner Engineering has an opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work within a multidisciplinary team striving to maintain, improve, and design products within their discipline.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDocumenting product specifications, generating concept ideas, and leading concept selectionPerforming qualification tests to ensure conformance to specificationsDeveloping details designs and documentation including tolerance analysis for collaboration with suppliers in the DFM ProcessResolving part and process issues by working with production engineering, manufacturing, and suppliersWorking with global suppliers on qualifying mechanical parts made with a variety of processes.QualificationsRequiredBachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field0-5 years of mechanical engineering experience, new grads encouraged to applyKnowledge of solid modeling, preferably using CreoAbility to work on multiple projects and coordinate with multiple departments simultaneouslyPreferredWorking knowledge of fabrication processes, such as, plastic injection molding, machining, metal forming, die-casting, and laser cuttingExperience designing plastic injection molded parts including analysis with mold flowExperience with design of experiments (DOE) and finite element analysis (FEA)Working knowledge of metrology, associated tools, and statistical techniquesProject leadership experienceWhat We OfferCompetitive compensationOpportunity for personal developmentExcellent benefits packageCollaborative team of passionate employees401k with company matchStudent loan 401k match programMedical, dental, life, pet, and vision insurance plansHealth savings account with company contributionFlexible work hoursPaid parental leavePaid time offThis job description reflects management's assignment of key responsibilities.
