OVERVIEW

The Senior Accountant is a key member of the Business Advisory Services client engagement team. This individual leads most engagements with supervision from a Supervisor or Partner. The Senior Accountant is tasked with reviewing staff work and providing outstanding client service to our Business clients.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Senior Accountants' duties include, but are not limited to:

• Maintaining multiple client relationships and providing consulting and accounting services in a proactive manner
• Preparing and analyzing accounting records and financial statements
• Preparing/reviewing bank reconciliations and other account analysis
• Helping clients with closing the books and creating adjusting journal entries
• Assisting clients in getting their books and records in good financial order
• Preparing timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and supporting workpapers
• Assisting the business with understanding and implementing internal controls and key business management policies
• Supervision of staff and ability to be a "go-to" resource for staff and clients
• Becoming a Trusted Business Advisor to your clients

Knowledge and Skills:

• QuickBooks Online and Desktop experience, ProAdvisor a plus
• Experience with QuickBooks project consulting, training and implementations
• Experience in compilations and reviews
• Experience in preparing and analyzing accounting records and financial statements
• Ability to work with multiple clients, staff and managers
• Prior advisory and supervision experience preferred

Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or associate's degree with appropriate experience
• 3+ years accounting experience, public accounting experience desired, minimally as a full-charge bookkeeper
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent command of excel and word
• Ability to multi-task and meet or exceed deadlines
• Self-starter and ability to work independently
• Strong time management, organizational and communication skills
• Ability to learn quickly, manage multiple projects, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
