DescriptionEssential Job Functions:Ensures that employees' work activities are carried in accordance with the applicable codes, standards and specifications and company's methodologies and proceduresProvides technical advice, guidance and recommendations to employeesOversees erection and installation of electrical work activitiesAssigns daily work activities to electrical crewConducts routine surveillance of all electrical activitiesIs proactive in projecting any adverse impact on the scheduling and delay of productivityMonitors and reports all electrical progress and acquires necessary documents and approvals to ensure continued workflowOther Job Responsibilities:Other duties as assignedRequired Minimum Qualifications:5 years' Electrical Supervisory experience in Oil and Gas IndustryPersonnel Management experienceValid Driver License and clean driving recordKnowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:Comprehensive knowledge of Electrical Fabrication processes, procedures, standards and specificationsKnowledge of electrical systems, equipment, operational and mechanical systems including; installation, test, maintenance and repairKnowledge and experience in the use of power tools, testing equipment, test lamps, measuring devices, power construction equipmentKnowledge of proper electrical equipment use conducive to conditions and assignments including adherence to Hazardous Materials and Safety RegulationsSkilled in repairing/fixing electrical equipment, wiring, hand or power tools and other fixturesAbility to recognize and respond to dangerous situations or emergencies such as high voltage systems, electrical fires, loose hot wires, broken power lines and etc.Ability to diagnose system malfunctions, locate cause of breakdown and correct the problem or recommend solutionAbility to set and balance priorities in order to complete projects on timeAbility to make decisions and recommend appropriate course of action in difficult situationsAbility to communicate effectively as a supervisor both verbal and writtenAbility to handle stress and possess positive trait even in difficult or challenging situationsAbility to attend training sessions, seminars and appropriate educational classes required by departmentEducation: High School Diploma, or equivalentBachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferred)(Related field experience may qualify to substitute formal degree requirement)Required Training & Certificates:Valid Masters or Journeyman License-or reciprocal state if an Engineering Degree has not been obtainedOSHA 10 certification, or ability to obtain upon hireH2S certification, or ability to obtain upon hireAttends training sessions, seminars and appropriate educational classes required by departmentComputer skills commensurate with program and job applicationsPhysical Demand/Work Environment:The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
