Senior Accountant

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting practices, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making. This role demands a meticulous, detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting and finance within a consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Account Reconciliation:
- Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Resolve discrepancies and ensure proper documentation and controls.
- Audit and Compliance:
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulatory changes.
- Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic planning.
- Provide detailed financial insights to senior management and stakeholders.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1-3years of accounting experience,
- Experience in a management consultancy or professional services firm is highly desirable.
- FINRA series 27 FinOp license is a plus; or ability to obtain within a year of being hired
- Skills:
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Superior attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
