Job Description:

The OFAC Analyst as a member of the BSA Team will serve as the SME for OFAC and BIS sanctions. They will aid in maintaining an OFAC program that is in line with regulatory expectations.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Function as Subject Matter Expert for OFAC and BIS Sanctions.
  • Review and adjudicate transactions that contain potential OFAC sanctions.
  • Review and adjudicate potential names matches to OFAC and PEP lists.
  • Assist with the preparation of OFAC Block/Reject reports and submission of the Annual Blocked Property Report.
  • Compile Sanctions related information for senior management, regulators, and auditors.
  • Assist bank personnel with reviewing potential OFAC suspects from OFAC alerts and inquiries.
  • Preform targeted research on certain parties to determine if there is a sanctions nexus.
  • Serve as a resource for questions regarding BSA/AML/OFAC policies and procedures.
  • Provide support to sanctions training initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of changing regulations in the OFAC and BIS space.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Seven years of banking experience.
  • Three years of Sanctions Investigations experience.
  • Knowledge of economic and trade sanctions.

  • Skilled with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and related software applications
