Purpose of Position

Assist Management as back up Sales Manager with branch real estate sales offices and contract expert. Work with Designated Broker and Quality Assurance Manager on updates to policies and procedures related to contract review and risk management issues.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)

  1. Serve as the Sales Manager in the absence of any branch manager. Provide counsel, support and direction to Branch Management, Staff and Sales Associates. (40%)
  2. Act as backup to the Designated Broker and Branch Management and in answering transactional problems and issues with sales associates. Help to resolve contract related disputes and consumer issues. (20%)
  3. Collaborate with Designated Broker and Quality Assurance Manager with respect to revisions and updates to Company risk management processes and forms. Assist with quarterly meetings of Branch contract review support for input on best practices. (15-20%)
  4. Participate in the delivery of trainings on contract and risk reduction related issues at the Long Realty Academy and in all branches. Prepare related articles for Company newsletter. (10-15%)

  1. Assist in the development, recommend and implement programs and long-range objectives designed to enhance the business strategy and enable Company to achieve its goals relative to profitability, cost control and organizational effectiveness with regard to new construction, short sales and other issues, as appropriate for all branches. (5%)
  2. May assist with regional recruiting including: career night presentations and interviewing prospective sales associates. (0- 5%)
  3. Perform other related duties of a comparable type as assigned. (0-5%)

Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field; or equivalent knowledge and work experience.
Experience:
  • Two plus years of real estate experience, including supervisory/management experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Experience in handling real estate transactions; knowledge of legal obligations of Realtors under state and federal laws, Department of Commerce Rules & Regulations, Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the National Association of Realtors Code of Ethics.
  • Strong computer experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Detail oriented.
  • Project management skills, ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently under deadline pressure.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and leadership abilities. High degree of integrity.
Other (licenses, certifications, schedule flexibility/OT, travel, etc.):
  • Licensed Realtor with the goal of achieving a broker's license; continuing education credits in real estate and management.
