Tax Department
The Vantage Tax department is responsible for ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations while optimizing the company's tax position through strategic planning and meticulous execution. The team handles all aspects of tax compliance, reporting, and planning for our operations across North America.
Team members are dedicated to preparing and reviewing tax filings, managing tax audits, and developing tax strategies that align with business objectives. They work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary information, ensure accurate reporting, and provide valuable tax-related insights that support informed decision-making.

By fostering a culture of integrity, collaboration, and proactive problem-solving, the Accounting Tax team plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and compliance of the organization.
Position Overview
This role can be based in any of our US locations: Denver, CO; Phoenix, AZ; Santa Clara, CA; or Ashburn, VA.In alignment with our flexible work policy. (3 days on site required, 2 days flexible).
Vantage seeks a Senior Tax Analyst - Direct Tax In North America which is a highly visible and cross functional role. This position would have a partnership background, especially in the real estate industry but not required. The candidate will also help with compiling information for REIT testing and work closely with our external advisors on the quarterly testing as well as helping with partnership returns and Schedule K1s for investor reporting. The candidate should be flexible to learn new things such as property taxes and assist with several tax audits throughout the year. The candidate will also help with monitoring and identifying tax issues in new markets and working cross functionally with different departments such as legal, accounting, FP&A, construction cost finance, and new site development teams. The ideal candidate will be an autonomous self-starter who can get results without constant direction. You should have a professional-growth mindset and be willing to bring forth ideas that can benefit Vantage.
Essential Job Functions
Work closely with external tax advisors on compiling information for REIT testing and monitoring services provided to different data center tenants.
Track capital accounts for all partnerships within the Company's structure to ensure accuracy of partnership basis.
Coordinate with external providers to track asset basis for future monetization.
Coordinate with external advisors on the preparation of US Schedule K-1s and income tax returns such as partnership, LLCs, and corporations.
Manage property tax filings & budgeting.
Assist with tax journal entries on a monthly or quarterly basis such as property tax JE's, management fee JE's, and income tax JE's.
Assist with tax audits when needed.
Work closely with external tax providers to ensure tax extensions & payments are made timely.
Assist with building out the tax calendar and REIT files for future tax diligence.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is required.
3-5 years of professional experience, preferably the real estate industry
CPA or EA, Masters of Tax, or LLM or work towards designation, is desirable.
Strong analytical mind, problem solving and modeling skills are required.
Self-starter, ability to operate independently in fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once.
Demonstrates a high degree of attention to detail and an ability to complete work accurately and in a timely manner.
Executive presence and effective communication skills are required.

Additional Details
Salary Range: $100-120K Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
