We are in search of a forward-thinking K-12 Director of HR who hasn't accepted long-term substitutes, unqualified educators, or asynchronous programs in their schools. At Proximity Learning, we firmly believe that every student, regardless of their geographic location or socioeconomic background, deserves access to a certified teacher. We are committed to advocating for K-12 school districts to recognize that they have alternatives. Through our innovative approach of streaming Virtual Live Teachers into classrooms, backed by data from numerous independent research studies, we demonstrate that this method can be as effective, if not superior, in providing quality education to students.

Duties and Responsibilities Collaborate with school district HR departments to identify credential and subject-specific requirements for vacant positions. Develop strategies for recruiting high-quality Teachers capable of instructing in a virtual setting. Oversee the creation of assessments and sample lessons for teacher evaluation and interview preparation. Coordinate with Professional Development to deliver comprehensive training, ensuring new hires are proficient virtual instructors. Establish procedures for facilitating teacher reciprocity in other states to meet local certification needs. Manage teacher scheduling in PLIconnect, ensuring availability alignment with district partners' schedules. Analyze data from walkthroughs and formal observations, collaborating with the teacher effectiveness team to inform professional development and coaching decisions. Maintain a pool of certified substitute teachers to cover absences when needed.

Requirements Master’s degree in education administration, public or business administration, or SHRM 5 years experience in K-12 personnel administration and management
