SUMMARY

:

The CTAE Administrator & Grant Writer works under the direction and supervision of the College & Career Academy Assistant Director. The CTAE Administrator & Grant Writer will assist the College & Career Academy Assistant Director in all areas of administration which will include but not be limited to directing and supervising programs and services for students in the College & Career Academy (CCA), monitoring the overall effectiveness of programs and ensuring all are implemented within federal, state, and local regulations, supervising staff within the CCA. This role also entails developing and sustaining a fundraising grants program through research, writing, and submission of grant proposals, grant renewals, and regular reports, and other communication to funders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Plan, develop, and implement a comprehensive program for students in the CCA
Monitor the progress of students within the CCA
Supervise all CTAE federal, state, and county accountability measures
Supervise all CTAE Programs of Study/Concentrations offered at the school
Supervise the integration of new CTAE pathways
Coordinate and collaborate with the Special Education Department to meet the CTAE needs of exceptional students with disabilities
Serve as a liaison to the GA Department of Education and local, regional, and state committees or organizations to advance CTAE efforts
Maintain close working relationships with community and state agencies and area businesses, industries, and labor organizations, in order to provide training consistent with needs, and establishes lay advisory committees as needed
Research, Identify, develop, and respond to public and private grant opportunities in the area of education to support existing and planned program activities as well as coordinate the development, writing, and submission of grant proposals to third party entities
Collect, analyze, and share data on the performance of program activities that are funded by third party public and private sources
Comply with all grant reporting as required by foundation/corporate donors
Demonstrate an initiative to identify areas of need within funding and grant writing
Develop, coordinate, and disseminate proposal documents including coordination and production of written and oral response presentations
Work effectively under deadlines and produce quality work within tight time constraints
Stays abreast of current trends in education and funding

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

:

Master's degree of Education School Counseling, or related field of study AND
Three (3) years of planning, developing, and implementing a CTAE program with a proven track record resulting in high levels of student success AND
Three (3) years of successful grant writing and program development experience in a school/college setting OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:

GA PSC School Counseling License/Certificate P-12 OR
desired GA PSC Teaching/Educational Certificate AND
Leadership degree, certification, or endorsement
Clear Fingerprint/Background Check Required.

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of Federal, State, District and other applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies, and procedures related to assigned activities and applicable duties
Functional knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding fund management
Ability to perform tasks and projects with a high degree of accuracy and keen attention to detail
Advanced data analysis skills
Knowledge and experience with Georgia High School Counseling and Graduation Requirements
Knowledge and experience with Dual Enrollment law, rules, regulations, and requirements in Georgia
Knowledge and experience with WBL/YAP law, rules, regulations, and requirements in Georgia
Must be able to manage large volumes of paperwork and maintain adequate records
Proficient knowledge of computers, online curriculums/tools, and various operating systems.
Proficiency using computer-based software and online resources to develop training materials
Ability to create and deliver staff development
Ability to communicate well with school personnel, parents, students, and cabinet office staff while complying with the confidentiality requirements in local, state, and federal policies
Acts proactively and looks for new opportunities to serve students and acts on them so that our team is always providing a variety of programs, internships, and learning opportunities for our students
Ability to read and understand high school transcripts

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

:

Advanced Degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field of study.
Prior grades 9-12 educational experience in Teaching, Counseling, Advising, Social Work, or related fields
Leadership degree, certification, or endorsement
Proven experience in effecting positive change in an educational setting
GA PSC Teaching/Educational Certificate
TKES/LKES credentialed
Public speaking experience
Previous experience as a Learning Coach, Advisor, or Teacher at Georgia Cyber Academy

This is a Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, 5 days/week, 3 Days/Wk In-Office and 2 Days/Wk Primarily Remote position that may require traveling up to 40% of the time. The noise level in the office is usually moderate (computers, printers, light foot traffic).
During critical periods, in-office days may be required.
In-person attendance at professional development, training, conferences, job fairs, meetings, school events, marketing events, and testing sites will be required several times per year.
Light lifting required.
