Description:

Client Biosciences is seeking a highly qualified engineer to automate NGS assay workflows on robotic liquid handling platforms. The individual will play a key role in design, prototyping, and validation of an automated fluid handling instrument for RhapsodyTM, Becton Dickinson’s next generation platform for highly parallelized RNA-seq analysis of single cell populations. The successful candidate will assist with transition of the technology from research to production, as well as working closely with colleagues in assay development. You will join a team of talented, passionate and engaging engineers looking to advance our technology and improving patient health.

Responsibilities:

• Develop automated fluid handling workflows for commercial release. Configure and program robust automated platforms with high ease-of-use for end users.

• Configure, program and troubleshoot laboratory automated platforms.

• Perform verification and validation of automated workflows. Author, execute and document V&V protocols and reports.

• Develop customer facing user guides for automated NGS workflows.

• Develop and lead training courses of field application scientists for setup and customer training of automated workflows in the field.

Qualifications:

• BS or MS degree in biology, chemistry, engineering or related disciplines.

• Minimum of 3 - 5 years in workflow development, automation, and liquid handling.

• Experienced in liquid handling robotic platforms and NGS assay workflows.

• Demonstrated successful design and launch of fluidic system within cost targets.

• Hands-on person adept at problem solving and troubleshooting

• Strong analytical skills

• Strong communication skills including the ability to create written documentation and deliver technical presentations to a diverse audience

• Willingness to travel up to 20% (global) #J-18808-Ljbffr
