Responsibilities

  • Assist in technical design for a variety of civil engineering transportation projects
  • Complete design and reports
  • Coordinate with utility companies and other agencies
  • Calculate quantities and develop construction cost estimates
  • Participate in quality assurance and reviews of design plans, specifications, and estimates
  • Participate in public involvement activities
  • Occasionally travel to project sites and other EMCS locations as required

Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • EIT certification preferred
  • Familiarity with INDOT standards, practices, and policies a plus
  • Proficiency with MicroStation/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license
