Manufacturing Process Engineer

Design, develop and test new seating products. Resolve product design issues. Provide technical assistance to customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: •Lead the design, development, testing and documentation of new seats and seating products using inputs from cross-functional team. •Identify, investigate, and resolve product issues arising from customer complaints and operational situations. •Provide technical assistance to customer's engineering personnel on existing and potential new products. •Search for and recommend new concepts, features and suppliers that will enhance products, improve quality, and reduce costs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
•BS degree in Engineering •3+ years in product application engineering role(s) •2+ years of experience in vehicle manufacturing (OE or supplier) •APQP standards knowledge for engineering and design •Competency in CAD/3D modeling platforms such as SolidWorks (CATIA V5, or Siemens NX as alternative) Qualifications Desired: •Design experience with mechanisms, plastic, foam and/or upholstery •Track record in design for manufacturing •Experience with BOM management within an AS400 system •Effective Communication Skills enabling work with cross-functional teams, departments, and customers. •MS Office skills required - Excel, Word, PowerPoint. •Demonstrated ability to work under tight timelines while executing multiple tasks concurrently. •Ability to travel as needed to CVG facilities and customer locations.
