Evolver Federal is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer. This is a senior engineering and technical role that is focused on influencing, shaping, and managing the systems and processes that are relied upon for building and deploying the GovInfo application and constituent parts.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a member of the team to support the GovInfo Program, and as necessary, provide off-hours support to ensure continued availability and functionality of the system.
  • Perform builds and deployments at specified intervals to all environments.
  • Serve as the build and SCM expert for GPO's GovInfo by overseeing the build process through automated scripts (g. Maven, Jenkins), dependency management (e.g. Nexus), environment configurations (e.g. Ansible), and source code management (e.g. Azure DevOps, GitLab).
  • Serve as the automated testing expert for GovInfo by developing and enhancing an automated test framework and creating automated test cases to support development across all components.
  • Work in conjunction with GovInfo teams to provide build, source code management, automated testing, deployment, and operational support for all GovInfo components including Infrastructure, Search, Processor, Repository, and Web components and functionality including process documentation and during system testing, deployments, and COOP failover/failback activities.
Basic Qualifications
  • 7 years of relevant experience architecting, building, maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing Java EE custom applications and services.
  • 5 years of experience with build, source code management, and testing technologies (Eclipse, Maven, Nexus Artifact Repository, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Ansible)
  • 2 years of experience working in a continuous integration environment including
    • Working with GIT source code management tools
    • Creating test cases using automated test frameworks and tools, such as Cucumber and JBehave
    • Managing a continuous integration and delivery application
    • Creating and managing deployment scripts
  • 2 years of Experience with test driven development, traditional waterfall and agile software development lifecycle methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
  • 2 years of experience in authoring, editing, and maintaining design documentation, standard operating procedures, and configuration documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10 years of relevant experience architecting, building, maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing Java EE custom applications and services.
  • 7 years of experience with build, source code management, and testing technologies (Eclipse, Maven, Nexus Artifact Repository, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Ansible)
