Job Title: Pipelayer***

Hours: 7am-5pm
Pay: $18-22/hour
Job Description

Collaborate with the backhoe operator to ensure the correct depth and grade for pipe laying. Work alongside pipe craft and civil crews to place pipes in ditches. Prefabricate pipes using various materials such as ductile iron fittings, HDPE, slip joints, concrete pipe, and steel pipe. Adhere to all safety policies and pass a test on safe operation in trenches. Possess knowledge of tools and equipment necessary for the discipline and be trained in trenching and excavation safety.
Responsibilities

• Work with the backhoe operator to supervise the correct depth and grade for laying pipes.
• Collaborate with pipe craft and civil crews to place pipes in ditches.
• Prefabricate pipes using ductile iron fittings, HDPE, slip joints, concrete pipe, and steel pipe.
• Ensure adherence to all safety policies and pass a test on safe operation in trenches.
• Utilize the necessary tools and equipment for the discipline.
• Perform additional duties as indicated by supervisors.
