Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage Cisco Nexus switches, including Nexus 7000, Nexus 9000, and Nexus 3000 series switches, in a data center environment.
Architect, implement, and optimize Nexus Data Center Fabrics (NDFC), including FabricPath, VXLAN, and spine-leaf architectures, to provide scalable and resilient network connectivity.
Configure and optimize data center networking protocols such as VLANs, VTP, STP, HSRP, VRRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and multicast routing protocols to ensure efficient data traffic flow and network performance.
Integrate data center networking with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere and Cisco UCS to support virtualized workloads and applications.
Implement and manage network security features on Cisco Nexus switches, including access control lists (ACLs), firewall policies, network segmentation, and security compliance standards.
Configure high availability features such as Virtual PortChannels (vPC), FabricPath, Overlay Transport Virtualization (OTV), and Cisco StackWise/VSS for redundancy and fault tolerance.
Develop and maintain network automation scripts using Python, Ansible, or similar tools to automate repetitive tasks and streamline network provisioning.
Troubleshoot complex network issues, performance bottlenecks, and connectivity problems in data center networks using network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure alignment of data center network design with business requirements and industry best practices.
Create detailed network design documents, configuration guides, and operational procedures to document the data center LAN infrastructure.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
8-10 years of experience in designing, deploying, and managing data center LAN infrastructure, with a focus on Cisco Nexus platforms and NDFC.
Expertise in Cisco Nexus switches, including Nexus 7000, Nexus 9000, and Nexus 3000 series switches.
Strong knowledge of Nexus Data Center Fabrics (NDFC), including FabricPath, VXLAN, and spine-leaf architectures.
Proficiency in configuring and optimizing data center networking protocols such as VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, and multicast routing protocols.
Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere and Cisco UCS.
Knowledge of network security principles and best practices, including access control lists (ACLs), firewall policies, and network segmentation.
Hands-on experience with network automation tools and scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex network issues in data center environments.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors.

Certifications:
CCIE certification or equivalent Cisco certifications in routing, switching, and security (Good to have) not must have
