Position Description: MI Technical Solutions is seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 System Administrator to join its team. In this role, the System Administrator is responsible for the maintenance and administration of enterprise technology systems in support of company business operations utilizing a Microsoft 365 cloud environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualized environments, as well as the deployment of updates, patches, and software to company resources.
  • Supports licensing, user roles, permissions, and access for company resources within the Microsoft 365 environment in support of NIST and CMMC compliance.
  • Administer endpoint device management using Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Defender.
  • Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, suppliers, and contractors to secure technology products and services to support business operations.
  • Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
  • Perform server and security audits.
  • Perform system backups and recovery using Veeam.
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
  • Maintain compliance with all IT Policies and Procedures.
  • Attend regular staff meetings and participate in other IT related activities, such as training seminars or trade show events.
  • Develop familiarity with technology systems, devices, applications, and processes routinely used within the organization.
  • Support the IT helpdesk in trouble ticket resolution and implement remediations to technology issues.
  • In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position.
Requirements:
  • DoD Secret Clearance
  • Must have current CompTIA Sec+
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience in a related field
  • 3-5 years of IT system administration experience using Microsoft 365, Azure, and Intune
  • System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus
  • Effective writing, speaking, analytical, and customer service skills
