Structural Staff Engineer

CTL|Thompson Inc. seeks a Structural Staff Engineer for its Denver, CO. Structural Department. The applicant must have a B.S. in Civil Engineering (emphasis on Structural), have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam, and have experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit. Experience in construction is strongly preferred. In addition, this individual must possess a great work ethic, have strong writing and communication skills, and exhibit robust problem-solving skills.

Duties will include:

+ Drawing foundation plans, structural plans, and construction details.

+ Preparing design calculations for multiple structure types and materials (concrete, steel, and wood).

+ Visiting project sites to perform construction observations.

+ Collaborating with other structural engineers in the office as well as interacting with engineers of other disciplines as applicable to design.

+ Working with other engineers and clients on project coordination.

+ Use of word processing programs, spreadsheets, Revit/AutoCAD, and structural design software

Staff Engineers are paid an annual salary between $55,000.00 and $85,000.00 plus discretionary bonuses. Our offer will be based upon individuals experience and qualifications.
