Description The Financial Planning Associate II (FPA2) will perform a wide range of planning, education, research, and analysis duties for both existing and prospective clients of TCI Wealth Advisors. The FPA2 must have the ability to utilize critical thinking skills, work independently, and anticipate firm needs and client questions. The FPA2 will participate in client meetings and may give advice under the supervision of an Advisor. The FPA2 will utilize analytical tools to identify and provide client planning opportunities to Advisors in specific planning areas.

Requirements SCOPE & EXPECTATIONS The FPA2 is proficient in the TCI planning process and can expect to focus in the following areas reflective of TCI’s client standard of care: Investment management Financial education for clients and their families Insurance planning/risk management Estate planning Tax planning and analysis Cash flow management PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Assist advisory teams with several elements of the financial planning process including, but not limited to : Analyzing data from current or prospective clients, including assets, liabilities, insurance policies, estate documents, and tax returns Analyzing overall asset class allocations of both current and prospective client portfolios and comparing them to target allocations Evaluating investment options available in outside accounts and implementing account allocations with respect to client’s investment objectives Create net worth statements Utilize financial planning software to create and maintain financial plans for clients Summarize key components of life, disability, and long-term care insurance Research financial planning issues and contact/collaborate with outside experts as necessary Attend client meetings in a technical and support role: Prepare and present cash flow analysis to prospective and current clients Assist with documenting information relative to the development of financial plans and other related workflows Utilize analytical tools to identify and provide client planning opportunities to Advisors in specific planning areas Training and mentoring of Financial Planning Associate team members The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Bachelor’s Degree required Series 65 license or can be obtained within the first six months of employment Successful completion/fulfillment of required education component to schedule CFP exam Minimum of 2 years of prior experience providing superior client service, preferably within a financial services environment or similar professional setting Intermediate technical proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Experience utilizing financial planning software (EMoney, HolistiPlan, etc.) and client management software (Salesforce, Tamarac, etc.) Committed to TCI’s mission, vision, and core values upholding the highest ethical behavior Client-first attitude – Seeks to provide outstanding service to all internal and external clients.
