Over half a century the brand grew in scope, notoriety and world acclaim. In 2015, Marcus Hotels & Resorts purchased the Milwaukee location and expanded the safe haven for espionage and merriment to Chicago by opening a new SafeHouse just one block off the Magnificent Mile.
We seek a Restaurant General Manager who will live and breathes all things SafeHouse. This hands-on leader will direct all facets of restaurant operations, ensuring all food, beverage, service, experience and operational standards are observed at all times. The General Manager must possess an entrepreneurial spirit and take ownership for their business unit and all things that influence its overall success.
**Responsibilities:**
* Refine and implement a model of operational excellence yielding the highest levels of guest satisfaction, brand identity and profit maximization.
* Partner with corporate marketing to develop strong brand awareness and reputation within the Chicago market.
* Follow and improves standard operating procedures to ensure that all guests are provided with an experience that is on-brand and in-character.
* Recruit, interview, and hire passionate team members who will embrace the SafeHouse brand and deliver a spyatasic experience to every guest and customer they encounter
* Hire, train and mentor supervisory and management staff.
* Interact as SafeHouse Chief of Staff with customers promoting SafeHouse brand, experience and amenities. Resolve all service opportunities to the satisfaction of involved parties.
* Move throughout facility and kitchen areas to visually monitor and take action to ensure food quality and service standards are met.
* Maintain relationship with venders and fellow restaurants.
* Utilize POS computer to accurately charge customers and create revenue reports.
* Implement and maintain housekeeping, sanitation and cleanliness standards in all areas.
* Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics, and self-image for self as well as subordinates.
* Know your comp-set and keep current with industry and market trends.
* Maintain an appropriate level of community public affairs involvement.
* Assess and review the job performance of subordinates and maintain records of assigned employees according to policy.
* Ensure 100% table visits with guests is achieved.
* Perform/produce weekly and monthly P&L management/recaps.
* Oversee weekly/monthly inventories, forecasting and invoice processing.
* Participate in annual budget and strategic planning.
* Monitor and maintain all safety and security practices and procedures.
* Oversee training and development for all associates.
**Preferred Experience/Skills:**
* 3-5 or more years of experience Restaurant General Manager required
* Fun/engaging personality with solid team building and training skill sets
* Ability to delegate and lead a team of 50 or more individuals
* Proven problem solver who can handle high stress situations
* Strong communicator, associate motivator and sales person
* Past experience establishing, developing and maintaining an experience driven brand or concept
* Keen sense of style and entrepreneurial spirit
* Highly organized, and able to think creatively and strategically
* Professional demeanor
