General Description:

Under general supervision, performs professional work in all phases of a comprehensive staff development and training program for an assigned Unit.

Essential Responsibilities:

Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position.

•Responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting staff development and in-service related to safety & security

•Develops criteria to evaluate needs of the staff and measure the effectiveness of safety & security training programs

•Coordinates and facilitates safety & security competency development, verification and maintenance activities

•Responsible for coordinating safety & security orientation program for all staff in Behavioral Health care settings

•Coordinates and facilitates quality improvement activities related to safety & security

General Responsibilities:

•Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field

Experience: Three (3) years of experience in the specified area of teaching. Experience with teaching de-escalation training such as CPI, Vistelar, Mandt, or similar preferred.

OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Current State Driver's License and clean driving record.
