**Description**

* Determine the best solution for the shipment of inbound and outbound goods and raw materials

* Execute the tendering of inbound and outbound shipments to carriers

* Study modes of transport such as over the road trucks, rail, intermodal, and others

* Retrieve and evaluate certain shipping rates

* Identify administrative needs and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations

* Conduct research and analytical studies, prepare reports that include cost analyses, comparative financial data, and informational data to support findings

* Conduct cost/benefit analyses and evaluations of processes and resource utilization

* Study methods of improving work measurements or performance standards

* Review and answer correspondence

* Act as a liaison between the carriers and docks

**Requirements:**

* Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university

* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to draft simple correspondence

* Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization

* Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference

* Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations

* Knowledge of database software, Internet software, manufacturing software, order processing systems, spreadsheet and word processing software
