Audubon, an EPC company in Houston, has an immediate need for a Sr. Structural Engineer - LNG. In this role you will be responsible for the structural engineering scope - monitoring compliance of the project technical requirements, ensuring that design document reviews are completed accurately and within the required timeframe and maintaining technical integrity of the engineering and design of the LNG facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with client staff to review and evaluate EPC bid proposals for LNG project.
  • Gain familiarity with the project through review of FEED foundation documents, i.e. plot plans, PFDs, SOW, BOD, interface list, owners schedule, etc.
  • Monitor the Contractor's performance and compliance of the project technical requirement.
  • Provide knowledge of LNG Power Island and BOP design and applicability of US codes specific to LNG facilities in the US.
  • Call for support from other engineering disciplines when multi-discipline technical issues arise.
  • Responsible for maintaining technical integrity of the engineering design for their particular engineering discipline.
  • Answer Technical Queries and RFIs from contractors.
  • Participate in key design review and ensure design review readiness.
  • Monitors changes against baseline scope.
  • Assess the impact of differences from the FEED package and be able to provide overall guidance on Piping (Design/Materials/Stress) Considerations.
  • Provide overall review of bidders' packages to ensure that the proposals align with regulatory commitments.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from ABET Accredited Institution.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with an EPC.
  • PE license preferred.
  • Medium/large multi-discipline project lead experience preferred.
  • LNG Project experience preferred.
  • Ability to familiarize quickly with the project FEED and SOW documents.
  • Work in a team with the Client's in house engineers and managers.
  • Ability to review structural designs and plans including but not limited to; foundation designs, temporary permanent facilities, marine and mooring facilities and structures, miscellaneous structural works.
  • Familiarity with structural codes and standards.
  • Provide advice on design related issues related to technical guidelines.
