Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the overall financial operations of the organization, including accounting, budgeting, audits, and tax activities
  • Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and goals in coordination with system management
  • Providing financial leadership to department heads and officers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Planning and implementing new services to generate additional revenue
  • Supervising departmental operations and personnel in accordance with organizational standards
  • Coordinating payroll, payroll taxes, and other reporting to regulatory agencies
  • Analyzing and promoting organization-wide performance improvement activities
  • Representing the organization at various meetings, including medical staff and community gatherings
  • Participating in monthly operation reviews and corporate office meetings as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required; Masters degree preferred
  • Previous experience as a Hospital CFO
  • Minimum 10 to 15 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Proven multitasking abilities with a background in small hospital settings
  • Knowledge of Medicare cost-based reimbursement and ACA compliance reporting
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as CMS, reimbursement, charge master, and financial systems
  • Proficiency in electronic financial systems, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff and the community
