General descriptionThe Materials coordinator is responsible for the proper conduct of services related to logistics and warehouse management and is responsible for the proper operation of the Material Management System.The Materials coordinator is responsible to ensure that specifications are complete, that all requisitions are duly reviewed by the Section Head concerned and authorized by the Technical Section LeaderThe Materials coordinator is responsible for the conduct of the receiving inspection of goods and materials and for implementing action to prevent that noncompliant goods are taken into use.Ensure that relevant requirements of the Management System are used as the terms of reference for the activities under the control by the Logistics CoordinatorThe safety of personnel assigned to work under his supervision.Keeping accurate records of parts and materials used, transferred, lost or received and for maintaining minimum stock levels of critical parts as defined by the Technical Section Leader.Control of the stock of materials, equipment, and spare parts on board the rig, and in cooperation with the Technical Section Leader and the department heads ensure that the stock is adequate for the ongoing operations and for further operations which are plannedThe Materials coordinator will work with the shore organization ensuring the delivery of the required parts and materials in due time and expedite the buyers if required to ensure no down time due to pending partsThe Materials coordinator is the overall responsible for the stores and the warehouse and he/she is responsible on maintaining a good house keeping and ensuring it is in a well maintained clean condition and sustain a safe working environment.Work closely with the Technical Section Leader, the service companies and Crane Operators to identify equipment to be sent back to shoreCoordinate with the Technical Section Leader on the equipment materials and spare requirements.In accordance with the instructions and procedures in the relevant Sirius Technical Manual, ensure proper checking of requisitions, deliveries, and shipments including materials and equipment belonging to the Operator/Client, when requested to do so.ResponsibilityPrepare the necessary requisitions for spare parts and materials based on the established minimum stock limitsChecking requisitions for equipment and materials issued by the department headsMake sure requisitions are approved by the Technical Section Leader before they are forwarded to the officeFollow up the delivery of all equipment spare parts, and materials ordered. Inspect all shipments upon delivery on board, and report any non-conformances including client's equipment and materials if requiredEnsure correct preparation of shipping documents for all equipment and materials being sent ashoreInspect and ensure that all equipment, spare parts, and materials in the storage rooms are stowed properly and safelyCheck with Noble Purchase Department regarding insurance of all shipmentsPrepare and forward reports in accordance with the instructions in the Noble Management System and in particular the relevant Sirius Technical Manual.Assist the Technical Section Leader and the department heads with budgets and cost control.AuthorityWhere responsibility is allocated the matching authority is also granted, unless otherwise stated. Stop any operation when deemed unsafe to continue.Documentation and record responsibilitiesMark all received equipment and spare parts, keep inventory lists updated at all times and forward copies to the Head Office when requested.Filing copies of certificates of all equipment and spare parts in stock for which certificates are required.Ensure that data sheets do accompany all shipments of substances and products, which may cause a health hazard, and in cooperation with the Health Safety and Environment, HSE Coordinator check that the data sheets are included in the Material Safety Data Sheet file onboard.RequisitionsWarehouse issueMaterial Transfer FormsMaterial Receiving ReportsCargo Manifest FormsInventory ListsWarehouse Stock CardsNon-conformance ReportsHand-over Reports.Qualification requirementsExperience:High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum of 3 years of experience offshore in a logistics roleProficient in Word, Excel, etcAdministrative skillsDeputyN/ARequisitioning authorityDetermined by job grade/role as per corporate guidelines.
