POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for cleaning windows as directed by the Facilities Manager, throughout the property by ensuring they are free of streaks, smears, and dirt. They may use a variety of tools and cleaning solutions to achieve this. Remove stubborn stains or debris as needed. Ensure the cleanliness and presentation of all windows within STRC hotel and casino while maintaining our high standards of hospitality excellence.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this class and are not all-inclusive for specific positions.)
  • Window Maintenance, including, but not limited to:
    • Cleaning all windows in and around the Casino and Hotel inside and out;
    • Cleaning all windowsills, dusting and cleaning any window coverings or decals, removing all cobwebs, dirt grime, and fingerprints
    • Clean windows safely and efficiently, leaving the windows streak-free and sparkling clean
  • General Maintenance
  • Reach all areas of the window, including hard-to-reach places
  • Polish and dust all glass surfaces.
  • Operate and maintain all types of cleaning equipment, including ladders and lifts.
  • Assist Facilities Techs as needed.
  • Uphold guest service standards
  • Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication, both written and verbal. Read, write and speak English fluently
  • Other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must have the ability to:
  • Work in varying levels of crowds, noise, and second-hand smoke, the severity of which depends upon where stationed and guest volume.
  • Interact with Guests and other Team Members in an upbeat and friendly manner.
  • Work with various types of chemicals, ensure proper precautions are taken. Follow all STRC MSDS documentation requirements.
  • Occasionally works outside and is subject to all weather conditions. Proper clothing is provided.
  • Effectively and efficiently move around the work area.
  • Work on feet for long periods of time.
  • Inspect and clean areas of responsibility.
  • Use and safely operate aerial lifts, scaffolding, ladders, and related equipment.
  • Work in extreme weather conditions.
  • Lift and move up to 100 pounds on an as-needed basis; ability to lift and move between 10 and 20 pounds frequently throughout a shift.
  • Transport all supplies to and from work areas.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven window cleaning experience, including experience using pressure washers and cleaning chemicals.
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work at steep heights.
  • Demonstrate ability to physically perform the duties of the position including moving around effectively, being on feet for long periods, lifting requirements of up to 100 pounds, using cleaning chemicals, and using ladders, lifts and other cleaning tools.
REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to the other duties described herein, every employee has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:
  • Obtain and maintain a License with the Spokane Tribal Gaming Commission.
  • Attending required training sessions offered by STRC.
  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • know about ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the employee's department.
  • Consult Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance.
  • Report illegal activity to Security or the appropriate levels of Management.
