Data Analyst - Business Process Improvement
This position is located in the Department of Defense (DoD), Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO). Successful candidates will be an organized self-starter capable of performing tasks without the need for constant oversight and experience successfully working in a team environment. Assist government personnel by providing consistent, responsive, and high-quality technical support with detailed analyses and strategic recommendations based on data analysis of business processes. Key duties will include:
Provide data analysis of data gathered from the evaluation of business processes to support improvements and new, innovative solutions
Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful reports
Work closely with clients, technicians, and managerial staff
Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements
Manage competing resources and priorities
Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects
Identify effective solutions for business software system issues
Evaluate system performance and identify issues
Monitor and troubleshoot new system modifications or changes from a data perspective
Provide recommendations on system issues
Use a variety of data analysis and tools to discover process and system issues
EDUCATION:
Master's degree in a related field/technical field
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Top Secret/SCI clearance required at date of hire
A minimum of 12 years of experience in business analysis or a related field, to include process improvements (e.g., six sigma, business process management, lean, etc.)
Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
Ability to work in a collaborative environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong understanding of various technologies
Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills
Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Visio, and Outlook
A track record of following through on commitments
Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
A history of supporting successful projects
