"As a Regulatory Compliance Associate, you will support Cleveland Clinic's mission by ensuring patient and caregiver safety, operational efficiency and effectiveness, and everyday regulatory readiness. Through your efforts, you will help Cleveland Clinic deliver high-quality care, maximize resources, embrace innovation, and provide a safe and compliant environment for patients and caregivers. This role provides you with a fulfilling career that combines technical expertise, application skills, and a direct impact on patient care. This is a regional role supporting Indian River to Weston and requires both remote and onsite responsibilities. Your duties will include but are not limited to: Assisting with the planning, implementation, and auditing of; environment of care, life safety, environmental protection agency, and occupational safety and health administration programs and activities. Monitoring and enforcing compliance with healthcare regulations.Facilitating cross-functional collaboration, acting as a liaison between various departments to ensure alignment with compliance requirements.Our ideal caregiver is someone who:Has technical expertise in code requirements (Building Code, NFPA Life Safety Code, FGI Guidelines, TJC/DNV requirements, etc). Possesses strong project management skills, and leadership abilities to effectively coordinate with stakeholders. When you join Cleveland Clinic, you'll be part of a supportive caregiver family that will be united in shared values and purpose to fulfill our promise of being the best place to receive care and the best place to work in healthcare.Job Responsibilities:Collects and analyzes data to identify adverse trends and high loss potential incidents.Conducts mock surveys of the physical environment and reviews inspection, testing, maintenance documentation for regulatory compliance according to TJC, CMS, and other authorities having jurisdiction.Performs quality assurance audits of work orders, participates in root cause analyses, corrective action identification, and prepares reports summarizing findings and recommendations.Conducts classroom and one-on-one or small group training of various Life Safety and Environment of Care topics.Reviews and monitors adherence to regulatory compliance policies and procedures.Other duties as assigned.Education:Bachelors degree in a science, engineering, business, safety, or other applicable field.Certifications:Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) OR obtain within 1 year of hire petencies (Complexity of Work):Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Must be able to travel to local, national, and international Cleveland Clinic facilities.Work Experience:2 year of experience within one or more regulatory oversight field to include environment of care, OSHA, EPA, Fire and Life Safety, Infection Prevention, or other similar area.Physical Requirements:Typical physical demands require full body motion including ability to perform work while bending, stooping, stretching, climbing ladders.Requires color acuity sufficient to distinguish color-coded signage and systems.Personal Protective Equipment:Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Pay RangeMinimum hourly: $22.85Maximum hourly: $34.85The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. While the pay range is displayed as an hourly rate, Cleveland Clinic recruiters will clarify whether the compensation is hourly or salary. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set, and education. This is not inclusive of the value of Cleveland Clinic's benefits package, which includes among other benefits, healthcare/dental/vision and retirement.
