Job Overview:Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric sub-specialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a full-time, Pediatric Registered Nurse in our Operating Room. This full-time, 40 hours per week position would work Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm.
Responsibilities:- The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the operating room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe during surgery.
- Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient and to provide continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
This is not an all-inclusive list of this jobs responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:Required:
- BSN degree required or in progress
- RN license in state of practice
- 2+ years OR experience
Preferred:
- CNOR highly preferred
- Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus
