We are looking for a personable, enthusiastic insurance underwriter to help take our agency to the next level. Our ideal candidate is a motivated team player who has the ability to stay focused in a fast-paced work environment. You will manage communications from our sales agents to underwriters as well as our management team. We will provide industry-specific training for the right candidate who demonstrates a dedication to excellence and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

Communicate with agents daily on incoming submissions in a timely manner.

Understand the CRM, department workflows and underwriting guidelines.

Pre-qualify each incoming submission with submissions checklist and notify agent if inaccurate or incomplete.

Submit incoming trucking risks in a timely manner.

Be knowledgeable on Insurance Carriers/Managing General Agents policies, state authorities and procedures.

Enter quotes and declinations from Insurance Carriers/Managing General Agents into CRM.

Enter tasks and notes into CRM with the latest update of every single submission.

Manage multiple accounts and close out the submissions as requested by agents.

Consult Director of Submissions daily on each trucking risks w/ new changes and updates to any submission.

Communicate regularly with key industry reps regarding industry standards, insurance products, current rates, coverages, insurance policies, and carriers so that you are always ready to help clients, underwriters, sales representatives, account executives, and the rest of our service team understand and address new rules and policy updates.

Notate and update submission report in a timely manner.

Corresponding with underwriters daily on submission status.

Log on Accounts payable/Accounts receivables from incoming MVR payments.

Qualifications

Relevant insurance experience is helpful but not required, training will be provided if your talents are a good match and professional

Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Fast learner and easy to adapt to short notice changes.

Able to meet strict deadlines and follow instructions.

Positive attitude and professional to department manager, management team, sales and support staff.

Detail oriented and organization are a must in this role.

Follow up skills, written and verbal communication skills and problem-solving skills are a must in this role.

Applicants must have an active insurance license in their state or be willing to get licensed in 90 days.

Candidates should have basic computer skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel PowerPoint, etc.)
