The Opportunity:

The Nutrition and Outreach Coordinator position focuses on Nutrition and Outreach initiatives, supports, and participates in all wellness programming. Plans and provides nutrition training and cooking classes/demonstrations, plans, and organizes peer educators to perform outreach events on a variety of health topics (alcohol and other drugs, nutrition, wellness coaching, sexual health, etc.). Conducts outreach events and workshops.

This position is eligible for overtime.

Classification Title: Student Wellness Coordinator II

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate campus nutrition initiatives including cooking demonstrations, cooking classes, and workshops.

  • Develop and coordinate health promotion outreach initiatives and the Peer Education program.

  • Provide supervision, training, development, and task supervision to graduate and undergraduate students.

  • Create strategic partnerships with key registered student organizations, student agencies and appropriate academic programs to facilitate health promotion outreach.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in wellness coaching and/or nutrition specialist certification.

  • Food handler and/or kitchen manager certifications.
