Our practice ORAL SURGERY GROUP with offices in New Brunswick, East Brunswick and Middlesex, New Jersey is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join the teamAs the Patient Care Coordinator you will be providing customer service over the phone and in-person, acting as the director of first impressions. This position requires a self-starter who finds value working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while providing support and solutions to patients.Major responsibilitiesGreets visitors, patients, and families in a friendly professional manner and directs them appropriatelyMaintains an efficient patient flow through the registration process and provides excellent customer service to patients/familiesPromptly answers the telephone, directs all calls appropriately, takes an accurate message and delivers to the appropriate individual/demonstrates appropriate etiquettePosts all self pay charges, collects payments, and provides patient with receiptReconciles billing slips to daily scheduleUpdates patient information including demographics, insurance, HIPAA forms and financial waiversSchedules appointments accurately according to department guidelines; using waitlist when applicableEffectively communicates problems, concerns, or issues to the Office Supervisor / Manager appropriately and promptlyPerforms various clerical duties such as faxing, photocopying, scanning, filing and mailingsDemonstrates flexibility with various work schedules, covers for other staff when asked including other office locationsDemonstrates the ability to adequately follow downtime proceduresOther job duties as requiredRequirementsHigh School Diploma required, A.S.
