Location: Erie 1 BOCES Finance Services/Buildings & Grounds Potter Career Center West Seneca, NY Hourly Salary: $19.47 + $.50 Plus night shift differential $19.97 Hours: 3:00PM – 11:00PM Monday-Friday Annual Education Stipends: $500 for Associates Degree/Accredited Training Program Certification or $1000 for Bachelors Degree or $1500 for Masters Degree Generous Benefits Package including but not limited to the following : Employment - Erie 1 BOCES (1b.org/en/about-us/employment.aspx#Exceptional-Benefits) + 15 Paid annual Holidays + Generous Paid Personal/Sick time + Generous Paid Vacation days + Premium Health and Dental plans (E1B pays 85%) + Life insurance at NO cost to you + FSA plan + Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion + NYS Retirement System + 403b AND 457 retirement plans Job Description: + Directly supervises laborers and cleaners assigned to the Center. + Secures building. + Performs minor repairs, painting and maintenance tasks under the direction of the Head Custodian. + Performs or arranges for the distribution of deliveries. + Performs assigned cleaning tasks in and around building. + Systematically observes building and grounds for abnormal conditions and reports to Head Custodian. + May be expected to drive BOCES owned vehicle. + Performs other duties as assigned by Head Custodian. Job Qualifications Must meet minimum civil service qualifications for provisional appointment as follows: A) Graduation from High School or Vocational School or possession of a High School Equivalency diploma and one (1) year of experience in commercial cleaning practice or general building maintenance including experience in any one (1) of the following trades; Carpentry, Electrical, H.V. and A.C. Systems, Plumbing; OR, B) Five (5) years of experience in commercial cleaning practices or general building maintenance, including experience in any one (1) of the following trades; Carpentry, Electrical, H.V. and A.C. Systems, Plumbing; OR, C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B).
