Job Description Job Description Description: Applied Development champions the rights of people of all abilities to work and communicate effectively through sign language interpretation, reader services, advocacy, and outreach. We ensure reasonable accommodations are met through 504/508 compliance, policy, and complaint resolution. We also help ensure your messaging is communicated and received as intended through services like technical writing, graphic design, and publications support.The Web Accessibility Specialist collaborates with stakeholders regarding accessibility concerns within digital products with a focus on the development of improved digital experiences.Basic Services - The Contractors shall serve as Senior Program Analyst by providing support to Government employees and service to other assigned work units in IOD. The service can focus on a single or a variety of job functions with varying degrees of independence within IOD.This position shall support a variety of general program/administrative management and technical support duties, including, but not limited to the following tasks:Responsibilities:Connection and Community:Actively participate in the creation, implementation, and success of creating and maintaining a culture that embraces everyone, that demonstrates a psychological safe place to work daily, empowers and advocates for employees.Demonstrate a guiding principle of continuous improvement, personal and professional development, and initiative.Be a role model in carrying out the companys mission, vision, and values consistently.Continue to build and emulate the companys culture of People first. Demonstrated commitment and practical application of these principles.Ensures that we are working in the most efficient, thoughtful way in terms of value and systems.Proactively makes recommendations to enhance our internal customers experience within each Division and/or company.Familiar with business operations and demonstrate excellent leadership and problem-solving skills, team building, and innovative thinking.Ability to remediate .pdf documents for 508 compliance.Identifies and resolves accessibility barriers to provide accessible instructional material and websites.Supports real-time and post-production captioning services to provide accessibility.Evaluates the accessibility of instructional technology devices and software and makes recommendations concerning best practices.Conducts accessibility testing against WCAG 2.0 (A, AA) success criteria and federal requirements.Follows accessibility related standards and laws, including WCAG, ADA Section 508 and WAI-ARIA. Performs other related or similar duties as required or assigned. Essential FunctionsDetermines appropriate tools, information, resources, and training needed to resolve technical and instructional accessibility barriers .Participates in planning and developing administrative and program activities.Reviews records and data for accuracy, reconciles differences, and works with other staff and university offices to identify errors and make corrections.Compiles data and prepares reports used to monitor or assess department activities, programs, and services or project future needs.Oversee the maintenance and modification of complex filing and recordkeeping systems.Maintains records and prepares necessary reports.Prepares work for data processing and maintain working files and production recordsManaging internal and client communications and maintaining program knowledge management / trackingKnowledge Skills and AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to present complex data in clear, concise text.Ability to meet deadlines and to work independently.Ability to edit and proofread work of colleagues.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Resourceful and able to maintain composure in high pressure situations.Maintain complete confidentiality, a strong sense of urgency; be proactive & self-directed, with a positive, approachable demeanor.Excellent organizational skills with focus on accuracy and attention to detailGood judgment, tact, and initiative to make effective independent decisions when necessary.Ability to participate in cross training efforts and provide direct guidance to other areas within _____with the aim of maximizing team capability, knowledge and focus on achieving ____and strong customer feedback.Promote an atmosphere of respect, inclusiveness, openness, and an approach to seek to understand.Demonstrated behavior to conduct oneself in an ethical manner ensuring confidentiality and a willingness to seek to understand.Sincere desire to work in an environment that promotes a fair, supportive, and inclusive work environment.Open to learning about one's own biases through individual and group workshops, education, interactions.Desire to actively participate in a workplace that is viewed as best practices.Ability to work autonomously and within a team.Requirements: Education and Experience:Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
