Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Linux RedHat Systems Administrator to support the DHS Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) HIRT Program in Arlington, VA. The Linux RedHat Systems Engineer will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of advanced cybersecurity capabilities, supporting analysts and ensuring business continuity for our customer's mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of new technologies and equipment in the lab environment and ensure comprehensive coverage for Linux or Unix system administration functions supporting the TEN Technical Engagement Network) infrastructure.
  • Provide ongoing systems administration, technical support, upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting services.
  • Advise and contribute to the development of lab standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies and maintain configuration and support documentation.
  • Apply security concepts, theories, tools, and methodologies to mitigate system weaknesses and vulnerabilities.
  • Perform large-scale configuration management and deployment across various operating systems and virtual environments.
  • Monitor RedHat platforms' security and health, generating daily reports.
  • Develop next-generation application platform automation solutions utilizing RedHat Openshift, Ansible automation, Docker, Kubernetes, and Podman.
  • Integrate and configure commercial, government-off-the-shelf, and third-party applications into RedHat Openshift, demonstrating proficiency in managing, maintaining, and patching containerized applications.
  • Create and support the development of automation solutions for system and application deployment using RedHat Openshift, Ansible Tower, and RedHat Satellite.
  • Implement granular access control, monitor system performance and user accessibility, establish backups, and ensure system security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex storage problems across the enterprise, including storage and replication strategies across networks.
Required Skills:
  • Experience with RedHat
  • 2+ years of experience as a Linux System Administrator.
  • 2+ years of MacOS and iOS experience.
  • Technical procedure and standard operating procedure writing experience.
  • Virtualization automation and optimization.
  • Familiarity with multiple operating systems, including Linux/Unix, Windows, and MacOS.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering, or related field (Alternatively, a high school diploma with 4+ years of lab management or systems administration experience)
  • DoD 8140.01 IAT Level II (any of the following: CCNA- security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Sec+ CE, CND, SCCP, CASP+ CE, CCNP security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, CCSP)
  • Active DoD Secret clearance: TS/SCI clearance preferred (Ability to obtain DHS Suitability)
Compensation:
  • Location: Arlington, VA
  • Shift/Hours: 100% onsite: core hours 0am-3pm
