Job Description-
Job Title SAP Business Objects Administrator (System Administrator)
Relevant Experience
(in Yrs) 6-8
Technical/Functional Skills BO Administrator (System Administrator)
Experience Required •Web Intelligence and Crystal Reports creation, and Business Objects universe design experience
•Knowledge of Xcelsius/Dashboards Designer with QaaWS and/or Live Office
•NET and/or J2EE development experience related to BusinessObjects SDK work
•Knowledge of 3rd party related software (such as 360 Suite or APOS) to extract metadata from Business Objects repository
•Prior working knowledge and experience in upgrading from BO BI 4.1 to 4.2 server versions
Roles & Responsibilities •Business Objects installation, migration, configuration, maintenance, technical support and troubleshooting of Business Objects implementation in shared and dedicated environments
•Participate in and contribute to the implementation of best industry practices for Business Objects
•Contribute to architecture and capacity planning activities
•Conduct performance tuning and capacity management
•Implement patches and other day-to-day Business Objects administration tasks including creating folders/reports/users and migrating reports/folders/users from Dev to QA to Production
•Work with IT and business users to resolve support and technical questions
•Contribute to coordination and planning of Business Objects/Database/Infrastructure related activities/outages
•Resolve Business Objects software related issues on end user computers
•ssist BA WebApp installation, configuration and support
•Engage vendor to investigate and address software product related issues/defects
