Tax Supervisor

Seeking a Tax Supervisor for an awesome boutique firm in Ronkonkoma. Offers a professional and fun environment, great chance to appreciate a small firm vibe here on Long Island. Would consider someone moving up from Tax Senior to become a Tax Supervisor. Our client offers a strong work/life balance and also very attractive benefits (401k match, medical, PTO, etc). Role is open due to firm growth.

Functions:

• Manage a portfolio of individual and small business clients
• Develop and maintain positive, productive and professional relationships with clients
• Generate business development opportunities and participate in the proposal process
• Build client relationships, demonstrate knowledge of client business
• Develop and guide a team of 5 staff professionals by providing effective performance feedback and training
• Prepare all tax matters for partners of firm to review.

Requirements:

• 6 to 10 years of prior experience working in the tax department of a CPA firm
• CPA license/parts passed and/or MS in Tax is highly regarded
• Excellent technical background and broad knowledge and experience in the application of subchapter K as well as experience advising real estate investment trusts
• Exceptional written and verbal skills
• Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Strong leadership, training, mentoring and staff development skills
• Ability to develop future leaders of the firm & lead by positive example
• Professionalism, dependability, integrity, and trustworthiness combined with a team mentality
• Highly motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
