Exceptional People Deserve Exceptional Staff About Shaftesbury Statement Shaftesbury is a disability charity offering care, education, vocational and rehab services. The charity also provides residential care, nursing and supported living. Within the education sector, Shaftesbury has one school, Shaftesbury Victoria School, and two further education colleges, Shaftesbury Millie College and Shaftesbury Nash College. The school is for students aged 319, and the colleges are for students aged 1625. All students have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), as well as physical and/or intellectual disabilities, and some have profound and complex learning needs. About The Role We are looking for a dedicated and experienced site manager who is willing to develop and improve a very special SEN college and to build and professionally manage onsite maintenance, cleaning, catering and transport teams. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, self?motivated, and empathetic, with a genuine passion for improving the colleges environment. They will need a calm and adaptable approach, excellent problem?solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Flexibility and commitment are essential as part of a well?developed senior leadership team. Key Responsibilities Manage all maintenance, cleaners, catering and transport staff. Manage all capital and operational budgets related to this role, planning and compiling capital budgets on a five?year rolling programme. Work within the remit of reactive, proactive and planned maintenance programmes. Record compliance and keep accurate records of checks for Legionella, fire safety and routine alarms. Respond to and rectify compliance failures. Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, manage inspections and audits. Manage all contractors that attend the site, ensuring high standard workmanship and value for money on all works tendered. Essential Skills & Qualifications Enthusiastic, self?motivated, and empathetic, with a genuine passion for improving the colleges environment. Calm and adaptable approach, able to follow instruction and manage multiple priorities. Experience working in a management position within an education setting or a large site/building. Commitment to safety, compliance, and quality workmanship. To have a trade background and at least one qualification in a building?related skill.
