This is a full-time, exempt level position.

Position Summary:
The Terminal Manager reports to the Director of ADM Trucking. This position is responsible for the safety, quality and efficient management of ADM Trucking's Valdosta, GA terminal. This position must coordinate all activities between Over-the-Road (OTR), external wash-bays and shop, central dispatch, city operations and the plant to ensure that customers' delivery times are met effectively and efficiently.

Job Responsibilities:
Understand and comply with DOT, OSHA and Food Safety regulations.
Must have the ability to manage a growing and diverse workforce.
Lead teams on and off site, including Driver Management, Customer Service, Training and Billing
Manage training requirements for each work group's jobs being performed.
Enforce policies, procedures and guidelines in a consistent manner.
Respond to drivers concerns for safety, dispatch, equipment, etc.
Hold and participate in quarterly and monthly meetings and ensure company information is communicated effectively.
Develop Driver Managers, Driver Trainers, and Operations staff to exceed performance goals, sustain a culture of safety & DOT compliance and create future leaders in the organization
Provide timely and effective feedback to staff and drivers to increase performance and accountability
Understand and comply with good accounting principles established by Internal Audit.
Ensure incidents are investigated properly and equipment is maintained within the proper guidelines.
Coordinate with dispatch so that equipment and drivers are utilized efficiently.
Develop and build relationships with internal and external customers.
Manage equipment effectively in the operation
Take ownership of all aspects of the Terminal's business
Use and create metrics to evaluate business effectiveness and profitability.

Certificates/Security Clearances/Other

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree is preferred with 5 or more years of experience in Trucking Management.
Previous management experience required.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong sense of leadership with the ability to impact and influence others.
Proven ability to work within a team based work environment.
Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to lead meetings.
Some Domestic Travel may be necessary
This position requires the ability to work in a variety of conditions such as an office environment, indoors/outdoors, hot/cold weather as well as physical demands such as standing, kneeling, and sitting for prolonged periods of time, climbing stairs/ladders and the ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions.
