****Job Description****
We have an immediate opportunity for a Strategic Buyer to join us at our Longmont, CO location.
The Strategic Buyer is responsible for operational procurement activities ensuring one point of contact towards suppliers and business; manage supplier quality and delivery problems and support efforts to secure best total cost of ownership.
****Job Responsibilities****
* Supporting purchasing activities focusing on operational performance and efficiency
* Supplier performance management
* Quality claim organization and administration
* Contracts and pricing management
* Procurement master data maintenance
* Materials change management and PPAP activities
* Supplier accountability for on time delivery and reimbursement activities
* Acting as first escalation point for supply and/or quality issues
* Evaluating the cost/should cost of purchased parts
* Negotiation and implementation of inventory solutions with external suppliers
****Background & Skills****
* Bachelors degree and/or certificate within Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial), Business (specializing in Supply Chain), or Logistics fields
* 3+ years experience in parts and supplier management
* Experience with SAP or related ERP system (ex. Oracle, JD Edwards)
* Experience with TeamCenter or related PLM system (ex. Agile, Dassault Systems)
* High level of proficiency in MS Office (including MS Word & Excel)
* Root cause analysis tools to solve bottle neck issues at suppliers shop
* Mechanical and GD&T experience highly preferred
