Miami Transplant Institute is seeking a Research Support Director who can oversee research and grant activities within the department with the goals of maintaining financial solvency and academic growth. This role involves serving as a mentor to department management and staff on issues of research funding, developing and maintaining reports summarizing research activity within the department, ensuring compliance with institutional and external policies and procedures, liaising with federal agencies and other funding sources, creating and monitoring grant spending reports, overseeing research initiatives and database personnel, resolving discrepancies, and participating in various University research councils, committees, and organizations. The Director is also expected to establish and continuously assess the effectiveness of internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures, train employees on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures. CORE QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in relevant field. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
