On behalf of our client, Procom is seeking a Plant Controller for a heavy industrial manufacturing plant in Jefferson City, MO. As Plant Controller, you will be responsible for providing financial guidance and analysis, and serving as a key contributor to the plant leadership team to drive profitability and operational efficiency. Your primary focus will be on budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, financial reporting, and compliance. This will be a full-time direct hire position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain annual operating budgets and forecasts for the plant.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs and variances to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, with insightful analysis and commentary.
  • Partner with operations management to drive financial performance and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Monitor and enforce internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Lead the plant's annual physical inventory count and reconciliation process.
  • Provide financial analysis and decision support for capital investment projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with corporate finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Manage and develop a team of finance professionals, providing coaching, mentorship, and career development opportunities.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to inform financial strategies and decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Plant Controller.
  • Proven experience as a Manufacturing Plant Controller within a manufacturing environment generating $300 million or greater in revenue.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software applications; experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of driving results and developing talent.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical thinker with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
