We are actively seeking a Civil Staff Professional I to join our dedicated group of professionals in York, PA. As a Civil Staff Professional I, you will be mentored in a team-oriented atmosphere alongside Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other Staff Professionals to successfully complete civil engineering design projects that improve communities within a variety of markets. This experience will expose you to the entire project cycle from planning, design, permitting, bidding, and construction. You will be mentored by a diverse staff to grow your professional skill set through both on the job and structured trainings. Work opportunities at this position include but are not limited to:
  • Design assistance on various projects including stormwater, utility, roadway, site design, and parks projects
  • Plan preparation - site layout, utility plans, profiles, and site details
  • Preparing stormwater management, erosion and sedimentation control, and other calculations/reports required for project permits and approvals
  • Researching code requirements
  • DEP Permits including NPDES, MS4 Stormwater, General and Joint Permitting
  • Cost Estimating
  • Land Development Plan Reviews
  • Project Bidding and Construction Services
  • Green Infrastructure Design
  • Client Interaction and Meeting Participation
  • Infrastructure Replacement and Rehabilitation
  • Pavement Rehabilitation
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • E.I.T. Certification
  • Intermediate proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD and Hydraflow Storm Sewers (or other similar stormwater modeling programs), and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team/collaborative environment
  • Previous experience with a consulting engineering firm or similar experience. (0-2 years of experience a plus, preferably with tasks that includes:
    • Preparing drainage, stormwater management, erosion & sedimentation control calculations and reports required for project permits and approvals
    • Project manuals, construction specifications, and contract administration
    • Report writing
    • Experience in subdivision and land development ordinances for municipal plan reviews
  • Ability to travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices as necessary
  • Has the legal right to work in the U.S.
