You will utilize the nursing process in the delivery of developmentally appropriate care and work in collaboration with other health care professionals to provide a comprehensive plan of care to meet the patient/family needs. Your day will be filled with: Providing advanced professional knowledge in own field and basic knowledge of related fields Acting as a resource for less experienced colleagues and leading projects Impacting customer, operational, project, or service activities within own and related teams Explaining difficult information and working to build consensus Overseeing patient care team and coordinating care plan Accountable for patient care meeting safety, effectiveness, and patient rights standards Prescribing, delegating, and coordinating patient care using nursing skills and evidence-based guidelines Providing education and facilitating learning for patients, families, and team members Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plan Advocating for patient and resolving ethical and clinical concerns Accurately documenting patient encounters and protecting patient health information Adhering to infection prevention initiatives Delivering competent care with emphasis on good customer relations and evidence-based practice Continuously evaluating patient condition and collaborating with healthcare team Success Factors: Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Master's degree) Current State of Texas Registered Nurse license Two or more years of recent critical care experience Current AHA BLS Certification Current AHA ACLS Certification CCRN preferred Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing Additional languages preferred Basic computer knowledge Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Sunnyvale is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.
