Supervise, manage and coach a team of 5-10 Investment Analysts (IA) who are responsible for working with Investment Managers and the Investment Advisory Group (IAG) to assist in the delivery of Investment Management Services to clients in Truist Wealth who generally have $5MM+ in AUM. In addition to supervisory responsibility, the Investment Analyst Team Leader typically assists at least one Investment Manager to manage a client base of approximately 75-100 relationships with assets under management averaging $800 million - $1.5 billion and revenue responsibility averaging $7.5 million.

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

The investment team is a critical partner in new business development and acts as a primary source for investment communication. Lead the Investment Analyst team in assisting the Investment Managers in acquiring prospective clients through comprehensive analysis of complex outside portfolios and presentation preparation. Supervise the daily trading activities of 5-10 Investment Analysts who are responsible for an average aggregate AUM of $10 Billion. Supervise the Investment Managers' daily trading activities in discretionary, non-discretionary, and trust-based portfolios and is responsible for adhering to and documenting compliance with Truist, SunTrust Advisory Services, and relevant regulatory policies and procedures. Participate in Trust Investment Committee which has responsibility for approximately 130 traditional managers with 520 strategies, 70 alternative investment strategies and 30 Private Capital solutions. Propose, construct, and monitor client-specific, advice-driven investment strategies and solutions for individuals and families. Make proactive recommendations to Investment Managers and/or clients. Work with Investment Managers and compliance to monitor client portfolios relative to their investment policy statement and work with the team to identify and address variances. Actively assist in the client onboarding experience and develop the Investment Policy Statement in accordance with the client's unique situation. Develop and advise on investment recommendations and help transition new clients into a collaborative and on-going portfolio management and client communication cycle. Prepare regular investment reviews for existing clients, recommend, establish, monitor, and adjust, as necessary, investment strategies and solutions designed to achieve the client's goals. Attend client meetings and participate in presentations to clients and interact with other Truist wealth teammates. Hire, manage, coach, and retain top talent in the Investment Analyst role. Responsible for managing the career path for internal teammates. Drive team compliance with risk management policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent education and related training. Series 65 licenses. Demonstrated understanding of the fundamentals of finance and investment theory. Possesses presentation skills as well as oral and written communication skills. Proficient at utilizing complex models, databases, and statistical tools. Performance assessment experience. 5+ years of investment management / trading or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification [or progress towards CFA] MBA [or progress towards MBA] Additional Professional Designations such as CFP®, CIMA, CAIA Prior management/leadership experience
