**Description**

Flex: a position working between 20-29 hours per week (between 1000 - 1559 hours/year).

Estate Public Area Attendants will be responsible for contributing to a world class experience for guests by keeping assigned public areas free and clear of litter, dirt, and debris. Duties include but not limited to: picking up litter around various estate parking areas; blowing leaves; emptying trash cans; helping guests; and helping team with other cleaning tasks. In addition, Attendants will provide general assistance and support for the department, leadership, and the company.

**Must be at least 19 years old and have a valid NC Driver's License.** Shifts & schedule can vary, but are generally 6:00am - 2:30pm.

**Qualifications:**

1. At least six (6) months of previous experience in a similar custodial/janitorial position strongly preferred. Ideal candidate will have experience in an upscale/luxury hotel or resort.

2. Demonstrated commitment to delivery of world class internal/external guest service; ability to work successfully as part of a dynamic, guest-service oriented team.

3. Outstanding attention to detail with focus on quality and service; works with speed and accuracy; works well independently.

4. Solid interpersonal and communication skills; conveys information clearly, effectively; can take/follow directions; responds appropriately to guest requests.

5. Strong organizational, planning, time management skills; prioritizes work, adapts, and multi-tasks; works efficiently under deadlines.

6. Proactive, takes initiative as appropriate; anticipates and troubleshoots; exercises good judgment; understands and follows safety procedures.

**Physical Requirements:**

1. Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly, and 75 pounds occasionally.

2. Stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs for entire shift.

3. Ability to climb scaffolding, or ladders.

4. Ability to work during exposure to dust, dirt, foul odors, bodily fluids, extreme temperatures and weather conditions.

5. Near/far visual acuity; ability to hear and respond to guests appropriately.

6. Ability to handle/operate safely commercial cleaning equipment, chemicals, solutions, and treatments.

7. Travel around the property required; must have a valid driver's license and be at least 19 years of age.

**Essential Job Duties:**

1. Maintain the immaculate standards of Biltmore's Facility Services department.

2. Make sure all parking and other assigned public areas are clean and free of litter, trash, limbs, and debris.

3. Snow removal; some storm cleanup when applicable.

4. Emergency clean up (bodily fluids) when applicable.

5. Proper and safe use of all chemicals, tools and equipment.

6. Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, supplies and care of drinking fountains, bathrooms, and other outdoor facilities and areas as assigned.

7. Remove and maintain trash receptacles; maintain, clean, and replenish fitness center area.

8. Keep supplies stocked and equipment clean and maintained.
