Job Description
Our client, a distinguished public accounting firm located in Scottsdale, Arizona, is actively seeking a skilled Senior Tax Associate to join their esteemed team. Renowned for their commitment to excellence and unwavering professionalism, our client is a leading player in the public accounting sector, providing top-notch services to a diverse clientele.

We are currently in search of a qualified Senior Tax Associate to contribute to the firm's tax services and support the intricate financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in tax compliance, research, and planning, playing a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with tax regulations, optimizing the firm's tax position, and contributing to strategic financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Tax Compliance: Lead the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring accuracy and strict adherence to relevant regulations.
  2. Tax Planning: Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement effective tax strategies aligned with the overall business goals of the firm.
  3. Research and Analysis: Stay abreast of changes in tax laws, conduct research on complex tax issues, and provide informed recommendations to manage risks and capitalize on opportunities.
  4. Audit Support: Collaborate closely with internal and external audit teams, providing comprehensive documentation and support during tax audits and examinations.
  5. Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing tax provisions for financial reporting purposes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  6. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate seamlessly with various departments, including finance and legal, to align tax strategies with the firm's overall business objectives.
  7. Client Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, offering guidance on tax-related matters and addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification highly preferred.
  2. Proven experience as a Tax Associate or in a similar role within a public accounting firm, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  3. In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Proficient in tax software and MS Office applications.
