We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Expert to join our team. The Tax Expert will be responsible for managing all aspects of tax compliance and reporting for our company. This includes preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations in multiple countries (mainly EUAFME), and providing support to other team members and departments on tax-related matters. Responsibilities: Verification of the work done by tax analysts. Checking the accuracy of tax returns prepared by tax analysts. Providing substantive support in the area of indirect and direct taxes for other team members and other company departments. Preparing VAT and Intrastat tax returns and submitting them. Reconciling tax accounts, posting transactions to tax accounts, and processing payments to tax offices. Handling tax inspections conducted by local tax authorities, managing internal controls and audits. Communicating with internal clients: business units, individuals responsible for taxes within the corporation, to clarify any doubts and answer questions regarding tax settlement issues, ensuring accurate tax reporting. Proposing solutions to improve the process of preparing tax returns, supervising internal operating procedures to ensure compliance with tax reporting laws in individual countries. Calculating and verifying quarterly and annual tax financial statements (US GAAP ASC 740), calculating current tax provisions and deferred taxes. Verifying tax postings in the ERP system. Cooperating with external advisors to update the value of income tax provisions. Collaboration with local advisors on income tax calculation.
