**Test Automation Engineer**

Sogeti USA is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join our Testing Practice. This is a full time Career Consultant role with Sogeti USA in Des Moines, IA.

**You will be responsible for:**

+ Applying automated tools to support the testing of applications across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle.

+ Evaluating the functional and non-functional requirements for testability and the test cases and use cases for suitability for automation.

+ Assist in the development of the test automation strategy and planning.

+ Developing, coding and executing test case and test script frameworks using automated tools such as Rational Functional Tester and other Rational suite tools.

+ Recommending tools and processes to automate test activities, such as test management, reporting, test data generation and defect management.

**Required**

+ Bachelor's Degree

+ 3+ years of experience in Software development and testing experience covering all test types and levels of test (strong test methodology)

+ 3+ years of experience in test automation strategy and plan creation and implementation

+ experience in Selenium, Ruby

+ 3+ years of experience in Automation experience using Rational Functional Tester (RFT) and HP Quick Test Pro (QTP)

+ 3 years of experience in Java / .NET development experience

+ 1-3 years of experience in a lead test role

+ A self-starter that is able to work under minimal supervision

+ An adept problem solver that goes beyond the obvious and will take the initiative to navigate around obstacles and challenges

+ Excellent problem solving skills

+ Strong client facing skills

+ Communication skills: excellent client interaction skills; strong presentation / communication / facilitation skills (oral and written)
