JOB SUMMARY: The Collateral Specialist is responsible for supporting the effective use of loan system applications for the benefit of the mortgage warehouse.Research and implement best process practices and leverage the use of technology and automation to ensure mortgage warehouse processes are efficient, accurate, and service-focused.Create, maintain, and monitor reports to support the needs of the mortgage warehouse team and become a subject matter expert on the bank systems, along with an understanding of the end-to-end process of warehouse loans.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Check in Notes received
- Prepare outgoing Note shipments
- Check in collateral with Custodians daily
- Prepare Allonges using POAs as needed
- Maintenance and weekly audit of onsite collateral
- Mail Log
- Prepare Notes for bulk sale/trade shipments
- Proficiency with WLS, Jack Henry, SmartSheet, SharePoint, and FundingShield
- Knowledge and Understanding of Loan Products
- Submit new settlement agents to FundingShield, add new agents to WLS as needed
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Minimum of 1 year Technical and Loan Experience.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
