Airworthiness Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Airworthiness Engineer to join Zenith Aviation CAMO. The company are based at Biggin Hill Airport. Hybrid working patterns considered.

The Airworthiness Engineer will report to the Continuing Airworthiness Manager.

 Main Responsibilities

Carry out day-to-day activities of the Part M/Part CAMO Department and ad-hoc projects including:

  • Maintaining aircraft records
  • Periodic review of maintenance programs
  • Liaison with maintenance facilities
  • Forecasting and maintenance planning
  • Verification and tracking of mandatory and non-mandatory modifications including ADs/SBs
  • Proactive approach anticipating upcoming maintenance orders
  • Scheduling maintenance events including coordinating quotes from MROs
  • Obtaining and updating maintenance data
  • Undertake reviews of incoming aircraft & bridging onto Zenith AMPs
  • Monitoring the operating times of aircraft and their components
  • Update, control and preparation of work packages in the planning tool CAMP
  • Assist with ARC preparation
  • Monitor and implement actions arising from applicability requirements ascertained as part of incoming airworthiness data review
  • Other reasonable tasks as required by the CAM

The candidate would ideally have the following Knowledge and Skills:

  • Previous experience in continuing airworthiness management organisation role
  • Recognised Part M &/or Part CAMO Training Course.
  • Previous experience using CAMP
  • Comprehensive understanding & knowledge of chapter 4 & 5 requirements as per the TC holder data
  • Problem-solving & good decision making skills
  • Experience of business jets would be a distinct advantage
  • Methodical with acute attention to detail
  • Self-motivated - able to work without supervision and as part of a team
  • A good command of written and spoken English
  • IT proficient, very good MS-Office skills

We require the candidate to have the following Education, Qualifications or special training:

  • Minimum 5 GCSE’s Grade C or above or equivalent recognised qualifications (e.g. NVQ, BTEC).
  • Human factors, EWIS, FTS training

Candidates must hold a full clean driving licence.

Candidates must be eligible to work and reside within the United Kingdom.

This role will involve shift work, so candidate should be prepared to work a shift system.

Salary commensurate with experience.

The successful candidate will need to be able to achieve & maintain UK Security Clearance.
